Hong Kong Heritage Museum|LEGO® Hong Kong launches the first "Build To Give" charity parent-child community guided tour to take you around Hong Kong, build hearts and then give them to the community, creating more play possibilities for children
Description
The annual Christmas season is approaching, and LEGO® Hong Kong will once again hold the "Build To Give" event. This year, the first LEGO® "Build To Give" was launched to provide caring parent-child community guided tours, allowing parents and children to re-understand the community together and allowing children to explore the possibilities of play from a fun and playful perspective. Participants will also interact with other participants in the group and build their own play ideas using LEGO® particles. The event will also continue the tradition of "Build To Give", inviting the whole city to build together and donate their hearts. LEGO® Hong Kong will also donate box sets to children in the community, spreading love in different ways during the festive season. !
According to previous surveys on neighborhood relations in Hong Kong1, citizens have always had low familiarity with their neighbors and rarely interacted with the community. In view of this, this year's LEGO® "Build To Give" event incorporates community elements, and specially invites the social enterprise "Neighbors to Lead the Way" to collaborate to create the first "Build To Give" parent-child community guided tour to distribute love and care through actions. Care is distributed to the community. The guided tour will take place over three consecutive weekends (December 1 to 21), inviting children and parents to visit various districts in Hong Kong to explore the characteristics of different communities, and encourage everyone to re-understand the community from the perspective of children's "play" , creating more possibilities for fun.
LEGO® "Build To Give" distributes caring parent-child community guided tours. There are three guided tour routes specially designed for families and parents. Participants will take a walking tour of Hong Kong, Kowloon and the New Territories from a child's perspective, learning about the changes and play stories in each region.
The LEGO® Group believes that no matter what age, parks of all sizes are excellent activity spaces for children to play and play. Therefore, three guided tours located in Sai Wan, Kwun Tong and Sha Tin will visit parks in these districts. Through the perspective of children, the tour guide will travel through the past and present, sharing with children the stories and different fun interests behind each seemingly ordinary place. For example: Participants will explore the giant murals on the piers of the Kwun Tong waterfront and learn about the "joy of art design"; visit Sha Kok Village to learn about the former rural children's rest space and experience the "joy of nature exploration and outdoor play"; and even visit Shek Tong Tsui Tram Terminal, discover "the joy of cars and traffic fans"!
In each route, participating families will use LEGO® particles to build their ideal park together, and use their imagination to build the "most fun" park with new friends they just met. While stimulating creativity, they will also learn to interact with the people around them. people communicate.
The "Build to Give" activity has always encouraged everyone to build heart-shaped ornaments with particles and give them to children in the community; the mission of the activity is to spread love and happiness during the Christmas season that is celebrated by everyone. Therefore, all guided tours will end at the Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong’s district centres. All participating families will build heart-shaped ornaments and hang them on the Christmas tree to end the trip by giving joy to children in social welfare organizations.
During the guided tour period (December 1 to 21), the public can also participate in building and donating LEGO® heart-shaped hangings at the Boys' and Girls' Clubs Association of Hong Kong Jockey Club Youth Integrated Services Centers located in Yau Tong, Sheung Wan and Tai Wai. Decorate while #BuildToGive and upload to social media. All the hanging ornaments collected will be donated to the children of the Children's Club, allowing play creativity to be spread to different families during the festival.
